INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUES FOR FILM EXHIBITORS

If you manage a film exhibition business in the UK you are likely to face a host of challenges, from developing and growing your audience and increasing revenue streams to marketing your venue and creating innovative programming.

CINOVATE is a training programme designed to help you meet current and future challenges and seize new opportunities available to the independent film exhibition sector. It is aimed at those who have been working in exhibition for three years or more, and for those who deal with day to day challenges of programming, audience development, marketing and brand development and more...

The 2013 programme will take place over six months - on the evening of April 18th, then all day on April 19th and 20th in Cardiff and then on the evening of September 19th and all day on September 20th and 21st in Bristol and will offer:

  • peer mentoring to help you find solutions for current challenges (at Cinovate and also in your place of work)
  • group discussions about current industry trends and issues
  • case studies from innovative venues, festivals and organisations
  • networking events with members of the wider UK film industry
  • a chance to work through a new idea you have with peer support
  • attendance at special events at the Audience Connect Summit and Encounters Short Animation and Film Festival

Deadline for applications is March 15th, 2013

What our 2012 delegates said...

"To be given the space to share best practice and discuss difficulties faced has enabled me to make changes, move forward and grow in confidence and enthusiasm."

"One of the nicest things about the course was how mutually supportive everyone has been"

"It did so much more than I expected. It’s filled me with confidence, inspiration and so many ideas to take home and develop."

"I can definitely now draw on new skills and contacts. All links made with other delegates, skills developed through one to one mentoring sessions e.g. effective communications, management techniques, negotiation and time management"
